September 9: Happy Birthday to Nora!

Today's post is dedicated to Nora Rain Dieppa, youngest daughter of my middle son, Alec and his lovely wife Stephanie. Since I've been gone, she started walking and talking- I hear that she may have gotten a tooth or two, as well. I really hope that she remembers me when I get home. She's the cutest one year old girl I know. Super sweet, super curious, and an all around good baby diva.

Today I packed up the trailer so we will be ready to leave Vegas on the 11th. then I went to get my dear friend from the airport. What a horrible set up the Vegas airport is - I could not find her terminal even after asking directions and googling it. Finally I just went on instincts to find the passanger pick up area. Then, my poor friend couldn't find her way out of the airport. After another thirty minutes we finally found each other.

We went to the hotel - Delano, which is part of Mandalay Bay. We had just enough time to get ready - walk the dogs and make our reservation at the Sky Fall Lunge on the roof top. It was fun to see the lights of the city come on as we ate a great charcuterie platter and skinny margaritas while we talked and caught up. She hadn't had much sleep for several days due to work. So we fell asleep earlyish.
