Today's post is dedicated to anyone and everyone who lost someone on 9/11 or from COVID. The number of people lost on 9/11 was 2,977 plus those who died later from the aftermath. The number of lives lost due to COVID, so far, is 665,000. That number is mind boggling. I know that I am not alone in my loss. At some point the U.S. is going to have to address the psychological effects the virus has had on our country as a whole.

"There are some who bring a light so great to the world that even after they have gone the light remains." - loveliveson.com

"When we lose someone we love we must learn not live without them. But to live, with the love they left behind." - sympathymessageideas.com

"Perhaps they are not stars, but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know that they are happy." - Inuit Proverb

We left Las Vegas this morning at 11:30. Our only goal today is to drive to Yermo, California and the Calico KOA. This will be my last night on the road and I wanted to spend it in my camper. The Calico KOA was nice. Lots of dogs and the dog walk space was nice and sandy - not dirt. I seem to run into the nicest people at the dog parks. Today the boys met a nice Australian cattle dog and a little schnauzer. We met a young man and his Canadian mother-in-law. So nice. We had cheese and crackers for dinner and a nice conversation. I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed about going home. I know that so much awaits me. Important things to do, think about, plan. Also, a lot of emotional luggage to unpack.
