Today's post is dedicated to my student, Dakota and her mom and dad because mom, Brandy works for Starbucks and whenever I find one I think of Dakota.

" My goal each day of my teaching career was to create an environment that made learning fun, so students would want to continue learning for their entire lives." Laurie Dieppa

Today I spent too much time looking for the World's largest Buffalo Skull. This is the first time that Siri let me down. She kept telling me it's on your right and to go down Pine Street. There was no Pine Street...Chestnut, yes; Pecan, yes; but not Pine Street. I ended up at a statue of a buffalo and gave up. There was a western museum, but I didn't have the patience anymore. Patience is a virtue, but it really isn't one of my virtues :0). So, we went to our next destination, which was Stonehenge II. It was worth the drive and it was only four miles from my campsite for the night, Kerrville KOA. I don't know how large the original Stonehenge is, but this one is 2/3 the size of the original. It's located in Ingram, Texas, which is in the "Hill Country." That is what they call it and it is very hilly. The weather is much cooler here. NIce breeze and it even sprinkled a bit. Lots of cottage type businesses along this route - God only knows how they keep their businesses going. Back to Stonehenge II. It is also located on the Hill Country Arts Foundation, which has an art museum, theater, Live Music Cafe and gift shop featuring local artists. I think this place may have been the only place that would have made Ben move to Texas. The dogs enjoyed walking around the monument and outside art exhibits. The cafe was still closed. New Mexico and Texas are really just starting to open up from the COVID pandemic. By the time I got to the Kerrville KOA, my head was pounding. No caffeine today - no tea at all -- Never found a Starbucks. I did make dinner on the stove tonight, gluten free pasta with meatballs, pesto, artichokes, and sun-dried tomatoes. The dogs have refused to eat dog food since we left California, so they have been eating what I eat - so spoiled. Some explanations of the photos- yep chickens at the gas station. They were looking for handouts and this one in particular was quite aggressive. Bobby is the lazy dog and Jean-Luc is eyeing the neighbors. He thinks they look suspicious and will not take his eyes off of them. I don’t know if I should be proud or embarrassed.
