Today's post is dedicated to Roald Dahl, one of my favorite children's books author. - Matilda, Danny Champion of the World, The BFG, The Witches, James and the Giant Peach, The Vicar of Nibbleswicke, and so many more. But probably the best known is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory His books are so entertaining and have some great lessons to teach us.
"And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it." - Roald Dahl
"A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly. You can have a wonky nose and a crooked mouth and a double chin and stick-out teeth, but if you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely." - Roald Dahl, The Twits

This morning Aaron did his best to push the old folks out into the light of day. They came outside, but they didn't like it. We set them up on the screened porch while Aaron got a lesson on the tractor. I went across the road to take some pictures of him mowing the field and five minutes later when I came back they were already back inside. "It was just too hot out for us." It was about 72 degrees out. A beautiful day. Their loss. Aaron hit the nail right on the head (or as Ben always said, "hit the hammer on the head.") when he came out of their house. "It's like visiting Charlie Bucket's grandparents at home." I say, at least Charlie's Grandpa Joe got out of the bed when it was really important to Charlie.
We went into Queensbury to find a nail salon that might be able to remove our gel nail polish from the wedding. No luck, either busy or no openings for the day. So, we went to lunch at the Ambrosia Diner. It's like a blast from the past diner. Everything is all shiny and stainless steel. The menu has a thousand items. We had some really good sweet potato fries.
