Today's post is dedicated to the 70s and 80s when shopping malls were teaming with teenagers, families, moms with kids, and many other shopping for the mundane to the unusual - remember Spencer's Gifts? Now malls are dead. They've been killed by online shopping. Kids play online and lets face it Amazon Prime delivery and even Amazon Fresh got us through the last year.
"Some things won't work out for you because something better is coming to you." The Smoking Prophet

If you haven't guessed we went to the Aviation Mall in Glens Falls today. First we stopped to pick up a router for Terry. He's finishing the skull entrance for the corn maze. Then we went to Hobby Lobby - no Michael's here. I needed something creative to do - so I bought a wood frame to make a plaque for my camper. Next we are at Chipotle where they put too much cilantro into everything. None of us like cilantro, but we powered through. After lunch, we went to the mall, where every other storefront was closed and empty. I bought a new pair of running shoes at Dick's and a sports bra - If you want real support in this area, you have to pay for it. Minimal support = $30, Medium support = $40, Maximum support = $50 - I have too much play in my chest area now that only maximum support will do. You know what I am talking about, don'tcha ladies? Finally we went to a store called Ollie's Good Stuff Cheap. The best way to describe this store is if Big Lots and The Dollar Tree had a baby, they would name it Ollie's Good Stuff Cheap. There was some good stuff and it was cheap, but I just needed...nothing. They even sold flooring materials, paint, and carpet. They also had strange flavored popcorns that did not sell due to the strange flavors - cotton candy, peanut butter and jelly, etc. On our way back to the farm I spotted a Starbucks on the Main Street. Woohoo. We stopped and I got two Trenta Refreshers and a Chai latte. YUM!
Back on the farm I went to see the old people and and bring them their mail. It was 7:30 and my dad was already in bed. Max was up and I gave her the little rosary handbook that I bought for her. She told me that when Dad fell the other night that he got a giant bruise on his back and he was going to the doctor tomorrow to check it out. He's walking around the farm just fine and hasn't complained about it even once. So why's he going to the doctor? He wants the doctor to tell him he needs to stay off his feet, which is what he planned on doing anyway. We had popcorn for dinner (microwave) and watched a movie called Gunpowder Milkshake, a quirky movie in the shoot 'em up genre.
