Today's post is dedicated to the Wheeler Family and the new members that are growing it. Terry and Jackie did a wonderful job raising their children. Cody and Kayla are just lovely humans and they have attracted lovely humans, Devin and John. Terry's daughter Sara is also a sweetheart and such a great mother to her children, Liam and Penelope.
"Love your family, spend time, be kind, and serve one another. Make no room for regrets. Tomorrow is not promised and today is short." Melissa, from CloudMom.com

Still so in love.

I downloaded this image from the GatherGreene.com website so that you can see how the window is a headboard for the bed. Such beautiful views.
I took off around 10:30 to get to the campgrounds in Coxsackie, New York, which is about 10-12 minutes away from the wedding venue, Gather Greene. The pavilion - main building is beautiful, vaulted ceiling with wide openings to the outside - the walls are made of 2x4s - so clever. There are several cabins on the property that are so creatively designed with a bathroom and shower at one end and the bed with a huge pentagonal window as the headboard. Each had its own air conditioner. They made such great use of the small space. I got the Earlton Campgrounds at about 12:45. Unhitched my camper and got ready for the wedding. As I was about to leave I just couldn't leave the dogs and go that far away for that long. Who knows what creepy people might want two great dogs? So, I took them with me. My plan was to partk in the shade - leave the windows down with water and then check on them every 30 minutes or so. They just sleep anyway. Then when I saw Terry and Jackie, they said to take the dogs into their cabin because there was air conditioning, but also it started to rain and not just a little. It poured buckets. So, the dogs tucked safely in the cabin, we went to the wedding. Cody's best man and his family came down with hand, foot, and mouth disease, so he couldn't make the wedding, he was also supposed to officiate. Terry stepped in on a day's notice. He did a beautiful job telling Cody and Devin's love story. Everything was beautiful; the flowers, the venue, the bride, the bride's maids, and the groom and his groomsmen were all looking very handsome. There was a photo booth, open bar that was housed in a gutted and renovated camper trailer - very cool. The DJ was good and the food was so delicious. The guests had a really fun time dancing. The songs were making me a bit sad - went to check on the dogs. Stilling raining buckets. They were fine. We had wedding cake - very nice strawberry filling. Weddings are fun, but now they make me sad. Finally the fog that had rolled in was lifting and the rain paused, so I thought this would be the best time to go. So, I went to get the dogs from the cabin, only to find that Jean-Luc had pooped - diarrhea on the bed covers! "Why didn't you poop on the floor, so I could clean it up?"
So, I had to go to the facility owner, confess that my brother let me keep my dog in his cabin for the wedding and that my dog had soiled the comforter. The lady was nice, but said that it was $50 per day per dog (so I didn't mention Bobby), also, another $150 for soiling the comforter. Terry wanted to put it on his tab, but I couldn't let him do that. Jean-Luc never, ever goes potty in the house. I think nerves from being in a strange place, the thunder, and not going out due to the rain, made for the perfect Poop Storm for him - poor guy. The lady had someone change their linens and they made $200 extra on that day.
The drive back to the campgrounds was a bit scary. So many twists and turns, fog, and of course pouring rain. I drove the whole way with my hazard lights on. When we were safe inside the camper, I texted Terry to apologize for being a party pooper (leaving early) and for the actual poop on his bed. :0{
