Today's post is dedicated to my daughter-in-laws. Barbara, Stephanie, and Lauren. They are all strong women who are talented in so many ways. I'm proud of each of them. I feel like they are the daughters I never had. I love them as if they were my own. They are all great moms to my grand kids. They are loving wives to my sons. They've been extremely supportive of me throughout my whole ordeal with Ben.

I know that this is hard to see, but it is a cardinal.

Woke up a bit sore and my bruises are more obvious. Today we drove to Colonial Williamsburg. Virginia is beautiful, but no one is able to tell me why Virginia is for lovers. It was raining pretty hard off and on. At Colonial Williamsburg that so many places were closed. Everyone paid full price, but there wasn't much to see except walking around to see the historic replica buildings. The dogs and I shared an ice cream. We did walk all over - trying to get my money's worth. I saw a cardinal which was quite exciting. When you see a cardinal after the death of a loved one it's supposed to mean they've come to visit you and to remind you that love never dies. Living in California I never expected to see one. The trees were amazing. The boys were so well behaved. They were soaking wet.
I have to say that I enjoyed Plimouth Plantation ore that Colonial Williamsburg. The reason why is because at Plimouth the characters embraced their roles. At Williamsburg the "characters" explained what life was like in colonial times rather than taking on the roles. The main part was just a bunch of shops and restaurants. The weather was turning bad again and I was hungry.
When we arrived at Williamsburg KOA it was pouring a torrent of rain. The ladies in the reservation office said that we were currently under a tornado warning. I waited to see if it would let up and when it sort of did I started setting up the camper for the night, but before I could finish - it began again with a fury. When I was done I was wet through to my skin. It rained like that for two hours straight hours. We had an early dinner and the dogs took a long nap while I worked on getting yesterday's post uploaded - I also watched a series I've never heard of or seen before on HBO Max called Search Party. Pretty good - I can't really describe it without giving a bunch away - Mainly about the life of main character, Dory - quirky comedy/drama. When the weather cleared, I took the dogs out and took my clothes to dry.
Leaving Virginia tomorrow.
