Today's post is dedicated to new days. Yesterday seemed like I was cursed and today - my camper door opened without incident. I didn't have to climb out the window. :0) That would have been fun and could have been a good story, but I'm glad the door just opened - like magic. Not really, I can open/close and lock it, but the very top doesn't close all the way properly.

This is actually leaving Philadelphia for the campgrounds in New Jersey.

This is the welcoming committee to the city of brotherly love.

Didn't know about this. It was not in my Women's studies class in college.

See the crack?

This was very interesting to watch.

The narrowest garage with the lowest ceiling. My antenna kept tapping everything.

Part of Elfreth's Alley

It looks like, Woman scratching armpit, but okay.

The dog that the boys would not sniff.

An interesting looking bug that I saw on my way back to the truck.

A crotch that Jean-Luc couldn't smell.

It was a long day for the little guy.

Leaving Philadelphia across the Benjamin Franklin Bridge

That is a camper that was leaving the campgrounds when as we returned. They really did take their home on the road thing seriously.
Philadelphia - the city of brotherly love was great to see. It rivals Boston and NYC for traffic. It is a maze of one lane, one way streets. Pedestrians and drivers do not pay attention to signs, lights, or each other. It's like every man for himself. There were so many homeless people sleeping on the sidewalks and pretty much wherever they landed. There were also mentally ill people walking around talking to themselves and begging in the middle of the streets. It was jarring to see. Finding a parking place was not easy. I decided to bite the bullet and go into a garage. The lanes were so narrow and the ceilings were so low. Everything was made smaller to me because my truck is so big.
There were lots of places to eat, but they were all bakery/sandwich shops. It is very hard to find a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich in Philadelphia as it turns out.
The dogs were very high strung today. Every time a dog was anywhere near us, they both lost their minds. We spent so long in New York on the farm, I think they forgot how to behave on the road. It's like starting over. Yikes!
