Today's post is dedicated to Franklin, the world's cutest one year old boy. I can say that because - well it's true. He is such a happy boy - curious and so full of life. He never cries. He get perturbed, and whines a bit, but I haven't heard him cry at all.

Franklin eating again. He is a good eater.

We woke up leisurely today and went to Andrew's place to celebrate Franklin's first birthday. The birthday theme was "My First Rodeo," complete with cow print balloons, cowboy hats and cowboy boot decorations. Lauren really did a nice job. Her parents, her grandparents, and her brothers came to celebrate, as well. WE had some very tasty pizza from Marcos with salad. We talked and caught up with each other. We sang Happy Birthday to Franklin - I Facetimed Steph and Aaron to join in. Then Franklin and Lauren opened up his many gifts. We had cake and ice cream. While Franklin took a nap the adults played with his new toys and his new little bicycle. Later, we all were hungry again , so we went to Rudy's BBQ. Lots of options for the meat and sandwiches, potato salad (my fave), cole slaw, beans, peach cobbbler, corn. It was all excellent and very reasonably priced. We were so full.
Franklin is such a good eater. He ate two pieces of pizza. A bunch of his birthday cake, then he ate brisket at Rudy's
I really enjoyed Facetime with the kids at home. Nora was so adorable laughing with black beans all over her face. Can't wait to see them all again.
