Today's post is dedicated to the NOLA Animal Clinic in New Orleans, Louisiana. I've called and visited so many vets along my way on this trip and everyone has turned me away because they are too busy to help a person on the road. Not NOLA Animal Clinic. They were so nice and concerned about my dogs. There was a long wait, but everyone was so friendly. Also affordable.
"When I look into the eyes of an animal I do not see an animal. I see a living being. I see a friend. I feel a soul." - A.D. Williams
"A lover will give you a kiss. A friend will give you a hug, but a dog will give you his heart." - Your Tango

The animal clinic opened at 7:30 for drop offs, so I went back at 8:30 when the vet was in. She checked Jean-Luc all over for anymore ticks and checked to make sure that I got the entire tick out of his skin. She said that he was tick free, but gave him an antibiotic just in case. Bobby got a rabies vaccine. Now I can get them both groomed, that is if I can find somewhere that isn't completely booked up.
Both dogs passed out as soon as we got back to the trailer. I fed them and me. Did some laundry, and cleaned up before it was time to go get Yvette from the airport.
It was easy drive to the airport and I got there as she was coming out of the terminal. Perfect timing. We went to check in at the Pontchartrain Hotel and were greeted by another downpour of rain. I mean really Mother Nature. It's enough. The hotel is in the Garden District. It's a boutique type hotel and really very charming. Yvette got us a very nice Queen suite.
We had to go back to the RV Park to pick up my clothes and to dry my laundry. That took us a little while to do that, so we had a snack in the trailer while we waited for the dryer to finish. I locked up the trailer and we were off, back to the hotel. Then we went to have drinks in the Hotel's bar, Hot Tin, a roof top lounge. We got a light show from Mother Nature, so we took pictures on the balcony and had drinks. We tried the "Violet, you're turning violet" drink. It was sooo good. After that we had an appetizer type dinner in the bar downstairs. Yvette has been very generous. I got a great birthday present from her. Dr Dre cordless earphones. I will probably use them because I've been having trouble hearing especially in my left ear. She really is so generous. I don't deserve all of this, but it is very nice.
We took the dogs out for a final potty run. Good Night.
