Watching the rain

The rain stopped

Where's Bobby? He is the same color as the sand.

Someone left this very cool sandcastle

The wind misshaping my umbrella

I found this blue feather at my campsite. Bluebird of happiness must have visited me when I was gone.

Because it is my birthday, I went to Starbucks and got my free drink and a slice of lemon loaf. I haven't had this for literally months. It was sooo yummy! I also bought myself a birthday present. It's a beach cart that was 50% off at Target. It has the huge wheels that roll over every type of surface and tons of room to put my stuff, even an umbrella and the dogs' things, as well. The other think I bought wa a mallet to help put the umbrella deep in the sand.
I am loving Biloxi. Uncrowded beaches and hardly any bugs. No bug bites, no flies in the camper. There must be something around here that is eating them. The cottage houses close to the beach are only about $150,000. If I could, my goal would be to put a house on my brother's property and buy a cottage here. It's doable. Of all the places I've been I like this place the best. That is, besides the farm. I just don't want to live in Granville in the winter.
The rain stopped and I took the dogs down to the beach to hang out for a while. The water is so lovely and warm. I used my Wonder Wheeler to roll my stuff and all the dog stuff down to the beach. It worked like a wonder. Haha. I put up my umbrella, got the dogs situated, went in the water, then laid out for a bit. There were only two other families on the beach; so peaceful. The clouds were gorgeous. The breeze was nice. The sand so, so white. The water looks brown, which threw me off until I looked up why; "The waters are clean but brownish in color...because the waters are diluted by other water from the Pascagoula and Pearl Rivers which drain into the sound." (traveltips.usatoday.com) While I was sitting and soaking up all the good vibes, my umbrella was pulled from its stand (which is screwed into the sand deep) and just kept tumbling away from me. As I ran after it, the dogs just sat and waited so nicely. I was afraid that it was going to cross the highway and cause an accident, but a nice man got out of his car and caught it for me. I thought that it might fold itself up and put itself away by the way it was headed straight for my truck. If I'd been holding on while it was fully up I would have had a fun ride like Mary Poppins, but in a bathing suit and screaming, "HELP!" because I really hate heights.
I'm making myself my favorite dinner for my birthday. Gluten free pasta with grilled chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, fresh peppers, in pesto sauce and freshly grated parmesan on top. BTW, this is one of the boys' favorites, as well. They deserve it for being so good at the beach.
Funny story. The sand wasn't hot, but it was warm. Bobby figured out that if he dug a hole, he could be cooler. What a smart little guy. Jean-Luc, the old man just kept sneezing and every time he shook his head he would get sand stuck on his nose. Goofy dog.

Happy Birthday! It sounds like you had a relaxing day in the sun.( except for the umbrella part)😁
